FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What is the cost per session?
My rates are as follows: 50 minute individual therapy: $200 50 minute couple therapy: $225 Payment is automatically charged weekly following your session. I reserve a certain number of sliding scale appointments in order to meet client needs. I can accommodate longer couples sessions upon request.
  • Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance. I offer superbills (monthly invoices) to submit to your insurance if you are eligible for partial reimbursement. Reimbursement rates are dependent on your health care plan. Questions to ask your insurer prior to starting services: - Does my plan have out-of-network benefits for behavioral health services? - How much is the reimbursement for out-of-network behavioral health benefits? - What is the process of receiving reimbursement and how do I submit my superbill for reimbursement?
  • How often do we meet?
In general I work with clients on a weekly basis. Together we can decide if we need to increase or decrease the frequency depending on our work and your needs. The timeline of therapy is different for everyone and is based on a client’s goals, progress, needs and choices.
  • What is a good faith estimate?
As of January 2022, you have the right to receive a good faith estimate for the amount your non-emergency care will cost (including behavioral health care). If your bill is at least $400 more than your estimate you may be able to dispute the cost. For more information regarding your right to a good faith estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
